Our products are assembled entirely in the United States, with components sourced almost exclusively from U.S. suppliers.
All current Human Hoist products are designed for dry, indoor use on smooth, flat surfaces. Any modification of the casters can affect balance and is therefore not recommended. We do offer extra clearance packages, but they can make the products slightly more difficult to move and are only recommended for specific circumstances. For further information, please contact our sales team.
We recommend using the provided M18 or M28 Milwaukee batteries. You may use your own M28 batteries with the Chair and the Drive; however, the Stool will not operate properly on HD or High Output batteries due to the internal circuitry in those batteries. Both Compact (CP) and Extended Capacity (XC) M18 batteries work well on the Stool.
Human Hoist products are designed for industrial use by properly trained individuals in commercial or industrial environments. Our two-hand controls help minimize the risk of pinched fingers, but there is no way to make the units entirely incapable of causing injury. Users must fully understand and follow proper operating procedures - just as one would with a lawn mower, chain saw, or garbage disposal. Always read and understand all manuals and labels before use.
The Stool, like all Human Hoist products, is intended for indoor use. Its components and systems are not designed to withstand harsh weather conditions.
The Stool uses a Milwaukee M18 5Ah rechargeable battery (one is included with purchase), along with a compatible Milwaukee charger. We will ship the appropriate battery and charger for your region’s power requirements.
Though the Stool is easy to use, some training can be beneficial. A Human Hoist technical team member can assist you, either in person or virtually, to ensure you understand the product’s features and safe operation.
Our reclining Chair model adjusts its wheelbase as it raises or lowers to support the user’s weight and maintain stability. The Stool, however, has a fixed wheelbase; leaning back too far can result in tipping and potential injury. Modifying the seat or installing a different one will void the warranty and could compromise user safety.
The Chair uses Milwaukee M28 3Ah rechargeable batteries (two are supplied - one for the Chair and one for the charger). A compatible Milwaukee charger is also included, and we will supply the appropriate battery and charger for your local power requirements.
As with all Human Hoist products, the Chair is intended for indoor use, and its components should not be exposed to severe weather.
The Chair is designed for hard, relatively smooth surfaces such as concrete or tile. We can install specialized casters for environments with rough floors or other obstacles. Please contact us to discuss any unique requirements.
Although the Chair is straightforward to operate, training is recommended. A Human Hoist technical team member will work with you, either in person or virtually, to ensure you fully understand its features and safe operation.
No. While it is designed to assist individuals with limited lower mobility, it is not configured as a wheelchair and is not registered as a medical device.
As with all Human Hoist products, the Drive is intended for indoor use and should not be exposed to inclement weather.
In addition to the M28 3Ah Milwaukee batteries used to raise and lower the Human Hoist, the Drive mechanism is powered by two 12-volt, 9Ah Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries.
Although the Drive is intuitive, we recommend some training before use. A Human Hoist technical team member will guide you, either in person or remotely, to ensure you are comfortable and confident operating the product.

Human Hoist products are engineered for industrial-grade performance. While there may be cheaper alternatives, they typically lack the robustness, rigidity, and usability required for professional environments. If those devices meet your needs, they are certainly an option; however, like most professional-quality tools, Human Hoist products retain their value over many years.
Our product line is a high-grade professional tool and is not inexpensive. However, we do offer discounts for volume purchases. If you’re interested, please discuss options with your Human Hoist sales representative.
We sell our products globally, and pricing varies depending on exchange rates, taxes, duties, shipping costs, and other factors. Simply send us an email, and we’ll provide you with pricing details.
No. Our products are industrial-grade professional tools and are available only directly from Human Hoist or through qualified distributors and dealers.
In most cases, no. Any pricing significantly lower than what Human Hoist officially quotes—especially if it seems too good to be true—is very likely a scam. Each year, many customers order from these ads and never receive their product. Always purchase from Human Hoist or a reputable dealer to avoid scams.
All Human Hoist products come with a 12-month, no-questions-asked “caster to caster” warranty. If you encounter an issue after the warranty has expired, we will work with you to find the quickest and most economical way to get your product back in operation.
