In 1984, cousins Eric Brittingham and Kevin Ferguson were inspired by the challenges of working under a car, leading to the idea for a convertible chair. Despite initial enthusiasm, life took them in different directions and the project was put on hold.
By 2011, seeing the toll on automotive professionals, Eric and Kevin revived their idea. A prototype was showcased on Invention USA, sparking interest and setting the stage for turning their concept into a reality.
Eric and Kevin’s initial idea came to life as a fully functional prototype. This stage marked the beginning of Human Hoist LLC, a venture dedicated to transforming ergonomic solutions from concept to reality.
With investment and growth, the product line evolved under Personal Positioning Technologies LLC, continuing to innovate and expand on the original vision. Today, the Human Hoist product line is patented, ensuring our commitment to ergonomic innovation.
Guided by a wealth of experience and united by a mission to empower your workforce, our leadership is dedicated to improving how professionals work, move and stay safe.
